Hi, my name is Andy Pazeotopoulos but most people call me Andy Pazz.

My carwash career began in 1969 when I went to work for HANNA INDUSTRIES in Portland, Oregon. The oil companies had recently discovered that they could sell more gas if they gave away incentives such as glassware, sports items, and all sorts of premiums. This was the dawn of a marriage between the carwash and gasoline. The oil companies discovered that they could sell a lot more gasoline if they gave away a carwash; this is where I came into the picture. HANNA was one of the two major manufacturers of carwash equipment along with SHERMAN SUPERSONIC INDUSTRIES out of Palmyra, New Jersey. I moved to Houston, Texas as the Regional National Accounts Manager for HANNA in order to help develop the various oil company carwash programs.

I spent five years in the Houston area helping develop the Gulf Oil, Conoco Oil, Exxon Oil and various smaller oil distributor carwash programs. After representing both HANNA and SHERMAN in middle America, at different times (my territory was from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border and from Chicago to Denver, CO) I tried to develop a mat washer for the industry which was a total financial as well as an entrepreneurial failure, but I learned a lot. From here I purchased a car rental franchise which I operated for several years but it really wasn't much of a challenge or fun. In 1995 I was asked to return to what was now HANNA INTERNATIONAL as one of the regional salesman for Oregon, Washington and Idaho. We sold over 2 1/2 million dollars in equipment sales during the first year, from there the company slowly went down hill, but that is another story. I stayed in the industry selling PECO, RYKO and PDQ car wash equipment until I started manufacturing reclaim and odor control equipment, which I continue doing now.

So you see, I have been around for quite some time and involved in most all phases of the carwash industry, I have seen the good, the bad as well as the ugly, and what I hope to pass on to you are the right things to do and help you avoid making costly mistakes.
